FIGMENT Boston 2016 is coming up this weekend on Saturday 11am-11pm and Sunday 12pm-6pm on the Rose Kennedy Greenway. Expect to see interactive, family-friendly art and performances both days and an after dark dance party with light projects on Saturday night.
FIGMENT 2016 artist participants are invited to a walkthrough and meet and greet on the Rose Kennedy Greenway.
You'll find us at 7pm on the hardscape of Dewey Square, next to the South Station Red Line stop. Keep an eye out for FIGMENT volunteers in our bright t-shirts!
You will have a chance to meet with the Curators, see where your project is placed, meet other artists and ask any questions.
After the walk through on the Greenway, we'll head over to Brandy Pete's (267 Franklin Street). Share a pint, toss around some ideas or get advice on current projects. The FIGMENT Boston Curatorial Team will be ready to answer any questions and assist with the project submission process.

FIGMENT Boston 2016: What Are You Bringing?
FIGMENT Boston, now in it’s seventh year, offers opportunities for both emerging and established artists to showcase original works and create something that gets people to interact, to participate and collaborate with each other on the Rose Kennedy Greenway in downtown Boston! Your FIGMENT project can be anything... A game, an experiment, a request, a challenge, a guided meditation, a performance based on audience input, a sculpture that moves or responds, a heart-stopping technological innovation that changes the way we see the world… Anything that gets people spontaneously working, playing, and creating together!
FIGMENT Boston welcomes works in every imaginable medium including sculpture, installation, performance, music, workshops, games, experiences, site-specific pieces, social experiments–anything you can dream of. We invite any project that inspires visitors to participate and interact with art. Founded in 2007 on New York City’s Governors Island with a handful of projects and a few thousand enthusiasts, FIGMENT has grown exponentially into a multi-day, multi-city event that draws thousands of participants in multiple cities around the globe. In 2015, FIGMENT continues to expand its mission to offer free, family-friendly and participatory art to entire communities. The event removes the barriers of museum and gallery walls and entrance fees, blurring the lines between those who create and those who enjoy art.
